HY Zuni Cluster Ring Video
This is an old pawn ring. I don't remember where I bought it but it was in the vicinity of Zuni Pueblo because we didn't buy elsewhere. I cannot find the maker online, but there are "HY" jewelers with a different stamp that appear to be Navajo. I believe this to be a Zuni made ring because of the fine nature of the stones and the minimal setting. Navajo jewelers, especially back in the day, were far more ornamental with their silverwork and didn't take as much care (generally speaking) with the stone work.
These stones are finely cut and well matched. There is some slight color variation but it appears to be because the stones are natural (versus stablized) and the oils from our skin will deepen the turquoise over time. It's a beautiful feature of old, natural turquoise.
I wear a size 10 on my middle finger and this fits easily on my left middle finger and only slightly tighter on my right middle finger. It has a simple shaft that can be easily sized by any jeweler for a refit to your finger. This style of ring (neklace, earring, brooch) is a classically Zuni style. You will treasure the ring for years to come. It's lightweight and easy to wear, unlike some larger, single stone rings. Very reasonably priced, too.
