S O L D Hubert Pincion has a beautifully smooth yet modern style of carving, and is one of the few carvers who utilizes old school hand tools rather than high speed rotary tools to produce his work. Whether using files, pocket knives, scalpels or flint shards he obviously learned the craft from elder carvers. Perhaps it is because he prefers to carve the softest stones, mostly this montana talc, soapstone and alabaster for his fetishes, but whatever the reasons for using hand tools, his carvings are highly prized by his collecting fans and they usually sell quickly. Collectors need to be mindful when handling, storing or shipping these soft stones as they are very prone to surface scratching. Be careful with this fetish as it CAN be scratched with the human fingernail! The eyes of this very alert adult mustang are inlaid of Sleeping Beauty turquoise and the fetish is initialed HP on the bottom of the one piece base.
