We received this letter from Reva Halate (the late Leonard Halate's daughter) in June of 2007. Out of courtesy, we've blurred the names of any traders mentioned in this letter.

We would like to add that we have never purchased any of Pete Natachu Jr.'s work in Zuni though we have seen it. At the time it was clearly marked as his work, not that of Leonard Halate. But nothing would prevent an unscrupulous dealer from reselling Pete's work as that of Leonard and we think that has been the problem.

We have offered the work of Steven Natachu on this site and would again in the future. He carves beautifully inlaid jet animals that are very unusual and elaborate in their jewelry-quality inlay.
